BacklotHub started as the internal system for a working production office. It wasn’t a product plan. We built it because the spreadsheets, inboxes and Google Forms stopped keeping up.
Every screen in BacklotHub exists because somebody in a production office needed it on a real show. The crew hire form replaced an email chain with payroll. Shipping requests replaced tracking numbers sent by text. Events and RSVPs replaced a Google Form and a printed door list for a festival week.
That shows in the details. Payroll confirms from a link because payroll companies won’t make another login. Door check-in works on a phone because that’s what is in your hand at the door. Vendors claim their listing from a link on a PO, never from a cold email, because this is a small industry and people talk.
BacklotHub is made by Toronado Entertainment and is now licensed to production companies that want the same office without building it themselves.

This site lists features that are live today. If something is still being built, we say so. If a feature was switched off, it isn’t on the site.
The people outside your office matter
Crew, vendors, payroll and guests shouldn’t need an account to do one job for you. Each gets a page or a signed link, and none of them costs you a seat.
Sensitive data stays guarded
Rates, addresses, medical notes and insurance papers are shown only to the people who need them, and only in the fields they need.
Leave the specialist work to specialists
Budgeting and payroll already have good tools. BacklotHub runs everything around them and hands off cleanly.
