- · Prices are per production company, in US dollars, before any sales tax.
- · Annual billing is charged up front: 12 months for the price of 10.
- · An active production is one that isn’t archived. Wrapped shows stay searchable and don’t count.
- · Postage for shipping labels and text messages for group texts are charged at cost.

Who owns the data we put into BacklotHub?
You do. Crew, vendors, productions, gear and guest lists belong to your company. Lists export to CSV at any time, admins can take a backup from Settings, and if you leave we’ll give you a full export of your company’s records.
Do crew and vendors need paid seats?
No. Seats are for your office staff. Crew who sign up on your crew page, use the self-service portal or fill in a hire or shipping form, vendors who claim their listing, and guests who RSVP are never counted or charged.
Do we get our own page where crew can sign up?
Yes, on every plan. Your studio gets its own crew page where people sign up to work with you and later sign in to keep their profile current: contact details, positions, the cities they work in, asking rate, gear, and links to their credits and reel. Nobody joins your roster until someone on your team approves them, and crew only ever see their own record.
Will we be able to post jobs, and are unpaid jobs allowed?
BacklotHub Jobs, a public job board for crew, is coming soon, and posting will be included with every plan. It will carry paid work only: every posting must show a real day or weekly rate. Unpaid, deferred, “credit/copy/meals” and “exposure” postings won’t be accepted.
How do we move over from spreadsheets?
Most offices start with a crew list, a vendor list and a gear list in spreadsheets. Those import directly. AI import can also read old call sheets and crew lists and flag likely duplicates before anything is saved. On Pro and Enterprise we do the import for you.
Is there a mobile app?
Native iOS and Android apps are being prepared now. Today BacklotHub runs in Safari and Chrome on any phone: the roster becomes one-tap cards, door check-in is built for phones, and the public pages (crew sign-up, shipping requests and RSVPs) work on a phone with no sideways scrolling. You can add it to your home screen.
Can we try it before committing?
Yes. Book a demo and we’ll show you BacklotHub with realistic sample data. We’re also taking a small number of early partners on a pilot: the Studio plan at $99 a month for your first 3 months.
What happens if we need more staff seats?
Add seats at $20 per seat per month on any plan, or move up a plan. We won’t lock anyone out partway through a production.
Is there a discount for paying annually?
Yes. Annual billing is 10 months’ price for 12 months, which works out to about two months free.
Does BacklotHub do budgeting or payroll?
No. BacklotHub runs the production office: people, vendors, gear, paperwork and events. Keep your budgeting software and your payroll company. The crew hire form sends new hires to your payroll company and records their confirmation.
