BacklotHub and Movie Magic
Short answer: BacklotHub doesn’t replace Movie Magic. Movie Magic Budgeting and Movie Magic Scheduling, from Entertainment Partners, are budgeting and scheduling software, and BacklotHub has neither. BacklotHub runs the production office around them: crew roster, hires to payroll, vendors and purchase orders, call sheets, gear, shipping and events.
What is Movie Magic?
Movie Magic Budgeting and Movie Magic Scheduling are Entertainment Partners’ budgeting and scheduling applications. EP calls Budgeting “the all-in-one budgeting solution the entertainment industry relies on”. Both are downloads for Windows or macOS sold as subscriptions licensed to a single user, and the latest Budgeting saves budgets to the cloud and keeps working offline.[1][3][5][6]
