Can BacklotHub send call sheets by text like SetHero?

Not yet. BacklotHub builds multi-day call sheets from your roster, fills in weather, sun times and the nearest hospital, and has an on-set view, but it doesn’t send them by email or text today. If sending with confirmations is what you need, SetHero does it.

How is SetHero priced?

SetHero’s help centre says pricing depends on how many cast and crew are on a project and how many shoot days it has, paid per project or by subscription. We couldn’t read current prices. BacklotHub is one price per company, from $199 a month (Lite: 3 active productions, 5 staff seats).

Do crew count toward the price?

In SetHero, the help centre says everyone in the system counts toward the headcount. In BacklotHub, crew never count: only office staff are seats.

What is SetHero?

SetHero’s help centre says it modernizes both the way you make call sheets and how you communicate them. Call sheets go out by email, text message or both; recipients view and confirm their call time; and the production sees who has viewed and who has confirmed. It also keeps shooting schedules and a company-wide contact list. SetHero’s main website was behind a robot check when we looked, so everything here comes from its help centre, and some of those articles are several years old.^{[1][2][3][4][5]}
